I think it is going out and we are going to find a new way to make things work. -

Re: What is Gaia Doing? - the economy...
Fri, March 27, 2009 - 4:17 AMAlmost everything that is happening (even quite a few of the details) were very accurately predicted by Mayan and other planetary Elders for many years/decades/centuries. It is a purification before the Shift of Ages, from the Fourth World to the Fifth World. The break down of the old system must take place for the evolution of human consciousness.
Which is interesting because it means that on some cosmic level people like Brezinzsky (worse than 'Neo-Con' and Obama's mentor) and his friends are actually helping the demise of the system. Because the more they alienate, harm, murder, enslave, centralise, manipulate, the quicker humans will be forced to choose between the 'red or blue pill'.
Even the planetary Elders have warned consistently that humans must choose their path wisely if mass ascension is to be avoided. Because without full conscious change, in the ways that humans treat the biosphere, many of the current 'tenants' will be evicted from their 'lodgings'.
As for 'economy', it is just another human abstract which has changed profoundly over millennia.
Great cultures that flourished for thousands of years were mainly matriarchal, or at least had established ways that the sacred feminine aspects were acknowledged and applied. The consequences of ignoring the sacred feminine aspect are imbalance and collapse.
Trading has been done with direct exchange, tally sticks, shells, or whatever, for thousands of years. The current system is really very young and has failed to meet the needs of the majority so must be dumped in favour of a sustainable system.
A sustainable system will be one that includes all life in every consideration, and which does not ever put profit before life. -

Re: What is Gaia Doing? - the economy...
Fri, March 27, 2009 - 8:24 AMThis is a beautiful post PSI.
I was working in a high falluting job on Wallstreet once, and I watched as the whole business, the whole market culture, gravitated towards partnerships. They didn't want to do anything except their 'core competency' It made a lot of sense. Have groups emerge that do the things they are best at, and collaborate, everyone wins...
the magic is, eventually, the very act of being greedy GETS IN THE WAY.
The more business focuses on tight margins, and specific ideas that NEEd collaboration... the more the personality of dominant aggressive greedy carnivores becomes an inhibition to success.

Re: What is Gaia Doing? - the economy...
Sat, March 28, 2009 - 3:09 AMI'm sure a lot of people think badly when someone starts talking about Mayan predictions and Astrology and stuff of that sort, but in the case, the question specifically asked for it. The question "What is Gaia doing?" is specifically asking for evidence that Gaia is doing something. Such evidence is given in terms of religion, astrology, and other such evidence. There is likely strong evidence in all religions that major change is coming.
There's a very slow wobble of the solar system, which takes about 26,000 years. That period is called the Great Year. Supposedly there are 12 constellations, which each mark an "age". What most people don't know, is there are actually 13 constellations, which means the Great Year is divided into 13, making each age 12,000 years long. Gaia has communicated this to us in many horror movies, using a 13 hour clock. This tells us that the Age of Aquarius started in 1996, 2,000 years after the birth of Jesus. The movie Zeitgeist tells us that Jesus' birth marks the beginning of the age of Pieces. Of course the change is not instantaneous, it'll take a few more years..
The change will bring about the end of poverty and war. This is very important, 'cause mankind has nuclear weapons now, so we can not have war.
If there was only 12 constellations, that'd mean the Age of Aquarius would be about 150 years away. f you study all the nuclear close calls there's been, you'd know that there is no way that the human race could survive 150 years. We actually only made it this far because of Gaia's intervention in several occasions. The people in power are not afraid to use nuclear weapons. In fact, their actions show repeated attempts to use nuclear weapons for pathetic reasons. Nixon used 18 planes loaded with real nuclear weapons to "scare" the soviets during the Vietnam War. A few years later a US ship was destroyed likely in an attempt to justify a nuclear attack on Cairo, and the nuclear attack was ordered and then recalled. These instances are not counting all the accidental nuclear close calls.
Anyway, the point is, we are in a period of change. The Internet is helping the process of ending poverty. The freeware or Gift Economy movement is also contributing greatly to the process of ending poverty. Also, the business climate is changing towards collaboration, which is also part of the process. This process is causing the destruction of the Capitalist system. You can not end poverty without ending Capitalism. You can not end war without ending Capitalism either. War is extremely profitable. There is not way of taking the money making aspect of war away, without getting rid of the money system all together. Nor can you end mankind's destruction of the environment without ending Capitalism. Destroying the environment is also extremely profitable. Oil is "cheap" which means profits. You might be able to find solutions for the oil problem and a few other problems, but you can't solve all the problems. That is nothing more than putting a bandage on the problem.
So what we are looking at basically, is a massive world wide redistribution of wealth. The complete death of Capitalism in just a few years.
You might wonder, why not do the process slowly. Well, keep in mind that we have nuclear weapons now. The rich and powerful won't be so happy about loosing their wealth and control. You might wonder why the process didn't take place sooner. You might have noticed that during Jesus' time, many of the apostles were exterminated and Jesus was also exterminated.
Mankind was simply not ready till now. Mankind really isn't so ready even now, but we really can't put it off any longer. We either change now, or face our extinction. Gaia obviously believes we can do this, and that is good enough for me. Gaia has provided us the plans, and now all we have to do is act on them.
If you want to help, let me know.
Don't worry about the economy. Work hard and use your brain, and embrace change, and you'll survive. Sooner or later, you'll be forced to join us. Sooner or later everyone on Earth will be forced to join us. The bad economy is what will provide the force. So unless you are extremely unwilling to change, you won't need to experience all that much hardship. The more willing to change, the less the hardship.

Sat, March 28, 2009 - 5:53 AMfor the most part, Gaian (love) seems to treat us with kid gloves compared to how I'd reactively do it. she is clearly nurturing us with a great deal of care, to be so patient.

Mon, March 30, 2009 - 11:09 PMi can't remember where i saw it, it might have been in this thread even, but i am too lazy and too tired to check...
the freeware culture.
the kind of thing that will thrive is the kind of thing that people give away fro free. there has been a growing trend of free computer software and free entertainment. the emphasis is coming away from large companies and people can make feature films in their back garden with their camera phones.
accessability is growing. technology is becoming more available and allowing the regular man to do great things.
normal people are making great stuff and giving it away for free.
as a result they get donations to help them live. in time i think that donations will not be necessary because everyone will have access to good food and a place to sleep and relax.

Re: What is Gaia Doing? - the economy...
Tue, March 31, 2009 - 1:33 PMHey great question and I loved this reply.
How about asking what are we doing to gaia as part of 'the economy' that has made her react so badly
I think she's trying to tell us something. The economy is an outdated model that is in its death throes.
What we need to do is to develop an alternative method of exchanging energy.
So what alternative energy exchange systems can we develop. Non monetary barter in community?
Imagine this
There is a community pot. Everyone commits their energy and time according to what they are able to give.
Everyone is entitled to take out from the pot. When you use my energy contribution, you are not required to
return that energy to me. You return it to the pot. And believe it or not this kind of system self organises in
ways that most of us would think magical.
And so far this isn't taxable. By bypassing the system more and more, we create an insinuation of new energy
into the mix.
Anyone got any expansive ideas along this line?
may the earth embrace you in her loving arms

Re: What is Gaia Doing? - the economy...
Sat, March 28, 2009 - 11:11 PMThe environment is failing to support us and the ecconomy is the result. It's understandable. What better way to teach a valued lesson by hitting at what our society values more (then the environment), money. The economy is fine. In fact, i believe that it's always been (past 30 years), it's just the values of people who spend and use this economy are in question. It's about time. -

Re: What is Gaia Doing? - the economy...
Sun, April 19, 2009 - 8:20 AMwe are being urged to go from following the path and laws of the "white" man which undoubtably stems from illusion and seperation,
towards walking creator's path which is of divine law, love and unity. Things will need to collapse and change in order to surface a new foundation from which we stand that will hold is a more sustainable fashion.
There is so much fear around scarcity at this time. The unknown mystery can be frightening until we realise that we have the power to co-create and help steward the conscious of the planet. we are held in abundance ultimately, I believe. Even as the econmic situation begins to shift we must hold true the belief that we are supported through this transition and we will have everything we need to survive in a good way with all our relations.
I am not sure how things will look during or after the changes but I urge all of us, no matter how challenging it might seem, to know deeply within our hearts that there is perfection in this unfolding plan and to be guided to see beyond the veil of illusions into a greater divine story that is orcastrating itself through us.
Surrender control. embrace one another with love and act from a place of your own highest truth. we will survive the birthing of the phoenix, and become stronger for it.
Innovation and flexibilty are key . . .

Re: What is Gaia Doing? - the economy...
Mon, April 20, 2009 - 5:54 AMI believe that the different cultures on earth all represent different intersteller 'ways of being'. they aren't exact replicas, but they are common philosophies with many ... cultures... that span planets.
I'm learning about the earth anew, as a place where many beings from these different ways purposefully come together. that the uniqueness of this planet is that we span quite a wide range of being... unlike a more Taoist society that spans a whole planet.
and the experiment, the exploration, has been to put these very different ways together, within a context that allows us to learn how to get along, without such distance... the results bless everyone.
We all have our roles in this plan.
first off, Don't identify too fully with your present birth race... many of us have incarnated within many different races. This isn't every beings path, but for those deep into Earth, we've been black, white, and dolphin too.
So heres the deal. when experiments like this are undertaken, dominance is returned to. Its a base common denominator, each culture is bonded by the common experience of fearing 'the other'.
This leads to long ages of waring and seperation, as the growth phase begins.
In the grand plan(et), one culture will dominate the dominators. not because 'they are right', but because somebody has to win that horrid game, to create enough stability to go further.
White won. Its a sucky game. We are united at the moment by the shared experience of greed that spans all cultures. capitalism has gotte us to agree enough to fight less. Despite the apparent superiority of many older cultures, that did not obsess with greed... they were not able to develop practices that could unite the world. the basic appeal to greed has done that. We are united by the agreement to rape the earth together, and accept certain rules that allow enough powermongers to get fat... that they don't want to drop into fascism and ruin the game as it stands.
Now we have to take the opportunity to realize the role greed has played, release it, and trust the deeper union we came here to form.
the only real way to do it is to identify primarily as a being of this planet. to embrace the gifts of our many cultures, and to learn to evolve into beings that are so amazing as a collage... that greed looses its appeal, and people learn to feel the apin we are causing the earth, and choose to release it because it HURTS to be a part of.
We must shine so widely and dance so well, that power hording games look very starkly like little spoiled abuseve brats.
we are renovating an old shack. it is free for us. we are living in community, and we have an abundance of all we desire to consume. there is so much in this country. so much wealth. we have already pillaged widely, so callously that we don't even value what we've got. its time to spend our energy learning how to value the incredible gifts we are surrounded by.
At present, we have been taught to meet energetic and emotional needs primarily through purchasing something, or through being afrqaid. We can now learn to redirect our attention rowards caring for each other. towards s ervicwe based world where we are focused on developing the ways in which we make love with each other.

Re: What is Gaia Doing? - the economy...
Mon, April 20, 2009 - 9:31 AMTakeshi...
not a racist comment, I am white.
only meaning that the white man has dominated the planet for a long time, colonizing and taking land wherever he sees fit, and helping to create a culture based mainly on consumerism and profit and control. This is a generalized statement.
my intention is truly to say that we have been breed into a world of misconceptions and programs and that i feel its important to move beyond these limiting constructs into a dimension that offers heart connection and love as the basis of our relations. -
