The concept that we are at the threshold of a 'new age' is well established in the collective mindset. However, the term 'New Age' has become associated with a broad spectrum of contemporary practices, some of sound origin, some riding the bandwagon that has created a ‘new spiritual supermarket’. After all of the workshops, all of the healing practices and tools, all of the questing and personal growth, are we collectively shining a brighter light that has impact? How much have we collectively created a pattern where it is easier to seek healing than to be healed? It can be safer to pretend to have dysfunctions than to stop pretending that we are not powerful and beautiful.

Thu, October 15, 2009 - 5:47 PMthere are things happening that you are not aware of.
there are things happening that I am not aware of.
there is so much change bubbling under the surface of society.
people are changing whether that change be under the label of 'new age' or otherwise.
if you widen your perspective you will notice changes in attitude.
tv programs that broadcast now, are vastly different in content and attitude to tv programs that aired 20 years ago.
for example, 'how to look good naked' a program that is aimed at raising self esteem of women around nationwide. -

Re: Can we, as Individuals, create impact - YES
Thu, October 29, 2009 - 1:45 AMI can see a title like "How to look good naked" would tend to attract women who really need to have their self esteem boosted, but it is hard to imagine someone who'd choose a title like that being someone who'd know how to boost their self esteem. One would think that if anything, women should have great self esteem, 'cause they do look good naked, but that really doesn't seem to be the case, does it?
The rules of morality will not change in the New Age. The rules are defined by pure logic, not by God or Man. The more people break the rules, the more the rules control them and all freedom and self esteem is lost. A person can appear to have great self esteem, but that is just on the surface, inside they are often fragile as glass. If looking good naked is that important, that it'd affect self esteem, then you completely lost site of the big picture.
People need mental strength. Looking good to others, is attempting to get your strength from others. Do that, and you are allowing others to control you. That is not how to get strength. You need to get your strength from yourself. Do you want others to control how you act and how you look or how you think? If you have strength, you make your own decisions.
As for the question, can we as individuals create impact. Of course, many individuals have had great impact. All changes, great and small, are initiated by one person. Sometimes that person knows what the impact will be, other times not. We do have brains, so we can choose our impact.
However, if one studies the path that God or Gaia has laid out for us, one can have a much greater chance of having huge impact. We know the New Age is coming. If you know what form of society the New Age will bring, you can maximize your impact as well as your chance of surviving the massive changes which are coming.
That new form of society is one which will bring world peace, prosperity, end poverty and end pollution and global warming. It will be able to handle 100 trillion people on Earth, without difficulty and by the time we get to that population we'll have the ability to expand into other planets and star systems. It will be a moneyless or "love" type society, and we are already seeing the signs of change in that area with the Gift Economy, Open Source, and other things.

The exchange methods you mention are the birthing of a resonant exchange economy.
Naturalness is beautiful, and that we discover when we drop pretense. One hearted is the new code. -
